THE CASE OF FAROOQUE AHMED OR HOW TO PREVENT A TERRORIST ATTACK

The news is so new that I do not know much but it seems that Farooque Ahmed was helping supposed members of Al-Qaeda to commit a terrorist attack in Washington. It seems that the Al-Qaeda were not Al-Qaeda member but a fake.
The idea seems good because it seems it may help preventing terrorist attacks but there is something that seems to me a bit suspicious.
It is true that this man wanted to help for a terrorist attack. But how do we know that they were not threating him in order to help them?
Maybe they threatened to kill him so he was afraid and he just took the photos so that the Al-Qaeda members did not kill him.
Well, it is to soon to say things but there is something in all this that makes me thing that the US is not acting correctly.
