Image via WikipediaI think that with Wikileaks the US has found that they have now two enemies: The Alqaeda terrorist thread and the thread of Wikileaks. While Alquaeda is a terrorist group who kills people Wikileaks is just a website which leaks information that is supposed to be secret. While Alquaeda may have the support of islamic fundamentalists Wikileaks may have the support from a lot of peaceful people around the world who like to know the truth behind the states policies.
In order to suppress the thread of Alqaeda the US and its allies invaded Afghanistan and the US opened a Guantanamo base prison to torture at its wish.
But what can the US do against Wikileaks? Well, it can try to put in jail Mr Assange. The Swedish plot may be a way. Once Julian Assange is in prison then you have to care care of the other people related to Wikileaks so they cannot publish more leaks. But it is obvious that even if Julian Assange is in prison there will be other websites that could begin leaking secrets too. So, I am afraid that Internet is in danger of disappearing as we know now! There will be much more control of what goes on. And there will be more secrecy inside the states. So that in someway thanks to Wikleaks we may have the opposite of what Wikileaks wished!
I have read that Julian Assange is needing money for his bailout. Should I help him?
